Alice Coday retired in 2021 as the Executive Director of the Financial Empowerment Network (FEN), a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 in Washington state dedicated to helping low and moderate-income people become financially stable. Significant initiatives she led included FEN’s transition of governance under a fiscal agent to incorporation as a 501 (c) 3, Bank On (launched in 2008, the second in a national movement), Homeownership and Foreclosure Prevention, EITC and Tax Preparation, and integrating Financial Empowerment into service deliveries. She currently serves as FEN's Strategic Advisor.
Alice's diverse experience in commercial finance and nonprofit sectors has ranged from Director of Homeownership and Education with a chartered NeighborWorks America organization to Vice President of a retail franchise managing investment representatives, direct and indirect consumer lending, and mortgage lending/operations, including bank-owned income property.
In addition to the finance industry, Alice's experience includes working with diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, including providing leadership in nonprofit management and the facilitation, design, and classroom instruction of financial education. She has an MBA and numerous professional certifications, including a Washington State Health and Life/Disability Insurance License.
